Old Lessons, New Responses
When the same lesson keeps coming to you, it’s time to change your part of the dance
Hello, fair travelers. I’ve been going at what feels like 100mph for the last few months. I’d taken on a 9–5, continued contract work, began taking a podcast class, started a podcast, and have been enjoying getting back into dance, and spending time with new friends. In the midst of all this, I got in a car accident, and had to recover from an injury, and hire a lawyer. All is well, but needless to say, I am ready- so beyond ready- for the slower pace of this late summer Mercury Retrograde, which began on the August 4th New Moon in Leo and will last through August 28th.
While this astrological event is notorious for causing miscommunications, fake break-ups and make-ups, as well as technology glitches, and travel delays, it also brings with it the gift of slowing down, re-evaluating, resting, recommitting, and reviewing what’s in front of us.
And for many of us, this may look like the same old lessons we’ve seen pop up again and again. Whether it’s an ex you know isn’t good for you, self-sabotaging behaviors in your relationships or career, or walking away from a situation or person who wants you to stay small, we’re going to keep getting served the same lesson until we change our part in the dance and…
